“The writing for Backlash began shortly after the release of Cache. Inspired by recent political and social issues happening around the world and in the UK, I wanted to express my concern, but focusing on a positive message. With a rootsy and honest approach to the arrangement, recording, and production, Backlash to me, speaks about a changing of perspective, taking good from the bad.”

“Look Up” is my first ever official music. Filmed with an iPhone, on a stage I built myself, this DIY approach was taken to create something unique, and visually fresh. I chose the cradle as the video’s subject as it epitomised the intent of Backlash as an EP - a positive reaction, and “Look Up” as a single - empowering the affect we can all have.
